Age Restrictions: Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Right of Admission: We reserve the right to deny admission or request any individual to leave the premises if their behavior is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or harmful to others, the environment, or wildlife.

Indemnity: All visitors enter the property at their own risk. Taaiboschfontein Guest Farm, its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or theft experienced during your stay or participation in activities.

Accommodation

Reservations: Bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or a deposit as specified at the time of booking.

Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellation policies apply as stated at the time of booking. Refunds are processed per these policies and may include cancellation fees.

Check-In and Check-Out: Check-in is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM unless otherwise arranged.

Conduct: Guests are expected to respect other visitors and staff. Noise levels should be kept to a minimum, especially between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Damages: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to property, furnishings, or equipment during their stay and will be charged accordingly.

Game Watching and Bird Watching

Wildlife Observation: Visitors must remain in designated areas and follow guides' instructions where applicable. Disturbing, feeding, or harassing wildlife is strictly prohibited.

Safety: Always maintain a safe distance from animals. While our game is generally non-threatening, wildlife behavior is unpredictable.

Binoculars and Equipment: Guests are responsible for the safekeeping of any equipment used during these activities. Taaiboschfontein Guest Farm is not liable for loss or damage.

Hunting

Permits and Regulations: All hunting activities are conducted in accordance with South African laws.

Guided Hunts: All hunts must be guided, to ensure safety and adherence to conservation protocols.

Restrictions: Only specified game may be hunted. Unauthorized hunting of protected species will result in immediate removal from the property and legal action.

Ethical Practices: Hunting is conducted as part of our sustainable game management program. Guests must comply with guidelines, which may be provided in writing or verbally.

Safety: Handling of firearms must comply with South African firearm laws. Visitors are responsible for their own firearms and ammunition.

4x4 Driving, Cycling, and Motorcycle Riding

Trail Use: Trails are available for 4x4 vehicles, bicycles, and motorcycles. Riders and drivers must adhere to designated paths and follow posted signage. The game camp is off limits for motorcycles.

Safety Gear: Proper safety gear is required for all participants. Helmets are mandatory for cyclists and motorcyclists.

Skill Level: Trails vary in difficulty. Visitors are advised to select trails appropriate for their skill level.

Damage: Visitors are responsible for any damage caused to trails, property, or vehicles during their activities.

Courtesy: Be considerate of others using the trails. Do not block paths or disrupt other participants.

Photography

Use of Images: Photographs taken on the property are for personal use only unless prior written permission is obtained for commercial purposes.

Wildlife and Landscape Photography: Guests must not disturb the natural environment to obtain photographs.

Astrophotography: Nighttime photography is encouraged, but guests should avoid the use of bright lights that may disturb others or wildlife.

General Safety

Emergency Contacts: Emergency numbers and contact details for farm staff are provided upon arrival. Visitors must familiarize themselves with these numbers.

Cellphone Reception: Please note that cellphone reception on the farm is spotty. You may not be able to make calls or send messages in certain areas.

First Aid: Basic first aid assistance is available. However, visitors are responsible for their own medical needs and must disclose any conditions that may require attention during their stay.

Fire Safety: Open fires are permitted only in designated areas. Guests must ensure that fires are extinguished after use.

Environmental Conservation

Respect for Nature: Guests must not litter or cause harm to the environment. Waste bins are provided for proper disposal.

Water Usage: As water is a scarce resource in the Karoo, guests are encouraged to use it responsibly.
